Name: Colleen Courtney Brady Lindstrom
Hometown: Minneapolis, MN (South-side!)for 30 years and running.
Been with FM107 since: 2002
What is your role at FM107?: I am a Jane of many trades. But, best of all, I'm a Get Real Girl!
What do you wish your role was at FM107?: I like being a Jane of many trades and a Get Real Girl! I truly wouldn't have it any other way!
Share a favorite FM107 moment: It's not really a moment, but a collection of moments. The State Fair is always a comedy of errors for me. One year, I brought the rain every time I was there. I was pregnant for the first time with my daughter and in my first trimester, so I didn't go out to the fair very often (something about the smell of barns and fried food), but every time I came out to do a show it would POUR! Then, last year, I was VERY pregnant with my son and was having a difficult time walking the distance from the car to the FM 107 Conversation Station. I swear that everyday I would make it to the stage in TEARS and everyone would laugh at me.
List all of the "hats" you wear in your current life: Mom, wife, daughter, friend, bereaved parent, Life Coach in training, radio host, Get Real Girl, beginning Yoga practitioner, and organization expert (okay, that's only in my imagination).
Describe any past fashion fads that you at the time embraced but now regret: I will admit that I wore leggings with sweatshirts a little too long past the fad. That's embarrassing.
Name a television character past or present that best describes your personality: Not a character, but a reality star. Kathy Griffin. The red hair is only the beginning... we are both equally obsessed with reality television and consider ourselves pop culture experts (junkies). I would LOVE to go out for martinis with her!
What's your favorite comfort food?:Food.
If there was an FM107 reality show who would get kicked out of the house first?: Before I address who would get kicked out first, I'd like to just say that I would win because I'm like a reality show expert and I know all the tricks of the trade. I'd for sure keep Andrew around for a long time too because he can cook. I'd probably kick Margery out first because two redheads in a house is one too many.
Do you believe in love at first sight?: I believe in "like a whole lot at first long discussion over a couple of drinks." I believe in "love at 3 months of dating." When it comes to shoes and handbags, I totally believe in love at first sight.
First celebrity crush: Sadly, Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains.
Latest celebrity crush: I think Josh Hartnett is super hot!
Name another person on this earth you would love to trade places with for a day (and why): I'd like to try on Elizabeth Hasselbeck's shoes. Literally, she wears some really cute shoes. Seriously though, I always wanted to be on the View. I used to schedule my college classes around the View and I had a View mug that I would drink my coffee in while I watched. (NERD!!!)
Name the last good movie you saw: The Departed! But I had to watch it a few times because the first time I saw it I was about 9 months pregnant and I had to take a whole lot of potty breaks and I missed some key plot points.
Name the last good book you read: Book?
What TV show(s) are you currently hooked on?: The question is, what TV shows am I currently not hooked on. I regularly test the limits of my TIVO. Lost, Heros, Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, Medium... shall I go on?
